Crafted from the same super soft viscose fabric as their pixie dusters, Market of Stars Let The Light In Luxe Tee is your classic wardrobe staple but elevated. A chic, easy piece that is destined to become a style you reach for over and over. The bohemian wardrobe essential, Luxe Tee features a wide scoop neck, relaxed seamless sleeve, side slits, and hem detailing with a hidden contrast print.

Inspired by poet Leonard Cohen’s famous quote “There is a crack in everything, that’s how the light gets in”, this design celebrates the ways our experiences shape us, and the perfect beauty of imperfection. Created using several pieces of Delft tile from the 1700’s — including two elaborate Italianate landscape scenes — we chose to leave in the cracks and slight imperfections from the original ceramic in our final print. Just as there is so much beauty in the patina, there is so much to embrace about the challenges we’ve overcome that make us who we are! The two patterns found in the trim come from an 1867 British book on classical ornamentation, and an earthenware plaque from the Netherlands painted in 1780.

Oversized fit.
Machine wash on gentle or hand wash. Hang to dry. May iron to finish if needed (gently).
Avoid leaving to soak, as this can weaken viscose fibres over time.

How we scavenge the riverbed
for coins. Keys. Apothecary bottles
with the algae-pale slick of an eel.
You reach into water, hands
gloved in silver as if passing through
a looking glass—then reemerge
with something fishlike, glinting:
a porcelain fragment, glazed white and blue.

Broken, an object stops being an object
and becomes a question:
From what tile did it crack?
What nobleman’s dinner plate?
What courtesan’s tea set?
And how did it escape? Whole,
this had a purpose, once.
Shattered, it has a thousand.

You smear silt away with a shirt hem. Beneath,
a painted tree creaks and a city crumbles.
A couple whispers over a rosemary patch,
like you and I have done.
They could be saying anything at all.
